ECMD Millwork & Building Materials

By serving a large market that reaches from coast-to-coast, our separate companies achieve economies of scale while specializing on a single complete product category. Each company is managed and staffed by tightly-focused specialists. Broad offerings satisfy your customer, but together with the detailed nature of the products themselves, they require extraordinary efforts to simplify transactions so they don't bog down solving your customer's problem-of-the-day. The corporate structure of East Coast Mouldings, Crown Heritage Stairs, Arndt & Herman Building Products, and ECMD Distribution allows us to remove many of the complexities from your own daily activities. Your customers will appreciate online access to our detailed websites to help them answer questions 24 hours a day.

AWPA (American Wood Protection Association)

The American Wood Protection Association (AWPA) is a non-profit organization that promulgates voluntary wood preservation standards. AWPA Standards are developed by its technical committees in an ANSI accredited consensus-based process that involves individuals from all facets of wood preservation: Producers of preservatives and preservative components; producers of treated and untreated wood products; end-users of treated wood; engineers, architects and building code officials; government entities, academia, and other groups with a general interest in wood preservation. AWPA's Standards are universally specified for wood preservation in the USA and are recognized worldwide.

American Wood Council

The American Wood Council (AWC) is the voice of North American wood products manufacturing, an industry that provides almost 450,000 men and women in the United States with family-wage jobs. AWC represents 86 percent of the structural wood products industry, and members make products that are essential to everyday life from a renewable resource that absorbs and sequesters carbon. Staff experts develop state-of-the-art engineering data, technology, and standards for wood products to assure their safe and efficient design, as well as provide information on wood design, green building, and environmental regulations. AWC also advocates for balanced government policies that affect wood products.
